Roots – Missions through Long-Term Efforts

To become fixed or established, to implant or establish deeply.

A tree’s life and vitality is anchored in the roots that travel deep beneath the soil and become the foundation of its sustainability.  With great depth and width the roots firmly establish the tree in a manner that allows it to withstand the greatest storms.  And as the roots become fixed below, life blooms above.  Therefore, if life is to flourish, it must be anchored by the roots of sustainability.  So it is with the spread of God’s truth from one culture to another.  If the life giving promise of Christ is going to flourish and sustain the greatest storms its roots must travel with great depth and width.

As a result, one of the core missional values of FBCA is the importance of spreading the gospel through long-term efforts so that the message may take root within another culture.  These efforts are often pursued in the following areas:

Commissioning Cross-Cultural Workers
Adopting People Groups
Building Key International Partnerships

We invite you to join in our long-term efforts so that the gospel may be firmly established
Give the gospel its Roots…
