Discover – Missions through Study

To see, get knowledge of, learn of, find, or find out; gain sight or knowledge of; to notice or realize.

There is a thrill to discovery.  It’s the feeling of unearthing something new that had previously been hidden.  It’s a term that incites the desire to search and explore.  It speaks to the innate curiosity that dwells within the human soul; a desire to know more.  It is not enough to remain stagnant in our understanding of God and His mission for the world.  We must continually seek, learn, and gain knowledge as to how we engage in God’s mission.  We must continue to study.

As a result, one of our core missional values at FBCA is providing the opportunities for a deeper discovery of what it means to engage in God’s mission through the avenue of study.  Some of those opportunities will include the following options:

Conferences and Seminars

Discover “Impact Indonesia” at FBCA, February 4-6, 2010

The Perspectives on the World Christian Movement Class

Beginning January 14th, FBCA will be hosting Perspectives at the “Lighthouse” on the church campus.  It’s a great opportunity to discover the Biblical, Historical, Cultural and Strategic approach to missions.  Click here to register and get more information.  Check out the video to hear more.

The Panorama Groups

Interested in joining a community group to pursue a calling to serve God cross-culturally?  We utilize the curriculum and training offered by GCPN to meet weekly as we pray, fellowship and equip ourselves to serve God across cultures.  To find out how to join a group contact global ministries at FBCA.

FBCA Small Group Book Clubs

We are hoping to develop additional small groups interested in studying the subject of God’s mission in the world.  If you are interested in starting a new group, just let us know by clicking the contact link above.

If you want a deeper knowledge of what it means to be missional, one of the first things you can do is pursue one of these opportunities provided by FBCA.

We invite you to go further and discover…
